Now this is something I've always wanted to try. Filming and recording a band live off the floor. Enter THIRSTY BETTY, the band that rarely plays. Here you are seeing the original formation, playing the song that brought us together more than 3 years ago:

Andrew Kesler- Guitar
Spencer Rayner- Bass
Kyle Krysa- Drums

This was a short notice session, as I found out 2 days ago that Kyle was leaving on an east coast tour in like 2 days, so I asked the guys if they wanted to record some tunes just with our own equipment.

This is "Summer Song", by guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani. This is the first of 3 songs we recorded. This was a one-taker too:) I spent about only 20 minutes mixing the audio too in an effort to get more efficient and speedy at producing. I'm quite happy with the result and I hope you guys enjoy it. Stay tuned for some funk and fusion tunes.

For all you techie nerds out there, here's the equipment I used:
Mics
Neumann TLM 103 (right drum overhead)
Apex 435 (left drum overhead)
Sennheiser MD 421 (snare)
AKG D112 (kick)
SM 57 (guitar)
(bass was line in)

I play Fury guitars through a Traynor 40w amp. Only pedal was the crybaby wah-wah. Used the amps distortion. While mixing I added the stereo delay.

Mixed in Logic Pro 8 and audio interface was a Presonus Firepod. For plug-ins I used Adaptive Limiter, Graphic EQ, Silver Compressor, Multipressor, Space Designer and probably something else, but that's basically it.

If you want an mp3, just message me. Same goes if you have any questions. Rock on!
