DESCRIPTION:
"Blue Skies" by Irving Berlin, recorded 5/22/11. This live performance is from my 2nd NJPAC Jazz for Teens concert, in the spring of my senior year, and includes my second improvised scat in concert. When I performed this song, I felt as if the lyrics had been written just for me, as I was about to graduate from high school and start going to Berklee. The still photos added in to this video were taken throughout the following year. ☺ Instrumentalists are pianist Jason Teborek, bass player Tom DiCarlo, and drummer Chris Brown. How amazing it was for a high school kid to get to sing with these guys!
