DESCRIPTION:
"Blue Skies" by Irving Berlin, recorded May 22, 2011. This live performance is from my second NJPAC Jazz for Teens concert, in the spring of my senior year, and includes my second improvised scat in concert. When I performed this song, I felt as if the lyrics had been written just for me, as I was about to graduate from high school and start going to Berklee. Instrumentalists are pianist Jason Teborek, bass player Tom DiCarlo, and drummer Chris Brown. How amazing it was for a high school kid to get to sing with these guys!
