The song was originally recorded by Ivo Pattiera on his album "Tražim te, trebam te" (1983).

In the 1980s, Split Song Festival decided to make a tribute to 3 composers who made the biggest impact on the festival, presenting an evening in their honor. It begun with Zdenko Runjić in 1986, the next year Nikica Kalogjera was supposed to have the honor, but the program was cancelled, and the last of the trio was Đelo Jusić in 1988. It was planned to record 6 new songs in addition to the 6 of his biggest successes and to release an album with the material. Klapa Maestral also performed two songs that are not on the LP - "Ta divna splitska noć" & "Nikoleta" and it all ended up with a medley performed by Tereza Kesovija ("Dalmatinski Lero", "Moja Ane broji dane", "Luda mladost"...).

Đelo Jusić is a Croatian composer, arranger, conductor and guitarist.
Jusić was born in Dubrovnik and began composing in the 1960s, founding the successful band Dubrovački trubaduri. His musical works drew inspiration from his native town and contributed significantly to the Mediterranean circle of Croatian popular music. He is a winner of the 2007 Porin Lifetime Achievement Award.

Krunoslav Cigoj is a famous Croatian tenor singer.
