In the barravento rhythm of the Angola candomblé nation. Gabi Guedes is the master drummer in one of the most famous Bahian candomblé temples, Ilê Iyá Omin Axé Iyá Massê, widely known as the Terreiro dos Gantois. Gabi, Luizinho do Jeje and Emerson Taquari recorded the percussion tracks for these pieces in Salvador, and Gordon Sheard later composed music to accompany them (submitted to Gabi for his approval) based on the rhythms they recorded and based on the structure of Gabi's improvisations on the rum, the master drum.
