Get Three Coffins Ready - Intoxica - 2010-03-27 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 29, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
Get Three Coffins Ready play Bob Hafner's Intoxica at the CD Release for the NDSA-0020 compilation "Long Live the New Flesh." Performance March 27, 2010 at the Oriental Theater in Denver, CO.
Robert J. Hafner, a colleague of record hustler Anthony "Tony" Hilder in the early 1960s, wrote Intoxica for the Revels. It became a standard in Hilder's surf band recording activities. He and his associates recorded it with at least nine different bands in at least five fairly distinct versions. The version by the Centurions is the basis for the more recent recording by Man...Or Astro-man? (MOAM for short), and that is the version the Coffins have adopted. Hilder went on to become an extremist conservative political activist and conspiracy theorist. I'm not sure what happened to Bob Hafner.

Captured with a Sony DSC-W220 Cyber-Shot digital camera and corraled with Microsoft Windows Movie Maker. A Low End Productions misstep.
Happy Birthday, Gil Romero, wherever you are! Oh, on the subject of intoxication, Hesh stuck your present in one of the band cases. If Jesse found it first, though, it's probably already history.
