The Rocket Room opened May 19, 2007. It was located at 230 Pueblo Ave (the corner of Wahsatch & Cimarron) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Run by Shalonda & Dave Cantrell the goal of the club was to bring in & showcase quality original live Rock-n-Roll, Honky Tonk Country, Garage, Rockabilly, Gutbucket Blues, Surf, Indie, Psych, Shoegaze, Experimental,.whatever floats our boat at any given time, (even Burlesque, Spoken Word, Performance Art, Independent Films, etc.) whether it be local, regional, national or international.
After starting up and running the multiple award winning Music Venue We have decided to come to the darkside, tone it down a little, and do something that involves a little less toilet cleaning,vomit mopping, whiskey swilling bartending, bouncing, and late night trolliping. That something, with much encouragement from the friends made in the music business in the past 4 yrs is, SixTones Presents.
