Maranatha! Singers - Lord Save Us Now - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 29, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Classic song from 1989 about God's deliverance of the Isrealites as they crossed the Red Sea (actually the Sea of Reeds, a mistranslation caused the confusion).
This song always reminded me of the plight of the Black slaves as they crossed the seas (unlike the Isrealites they were being dragged into slavery and not out of it).
Either way in my mind the song applies to both situations in my mind as I can imagine those Black slaves begging for God to save them from the horrible fate they will face as future slaves for life.
Slavery is an evil instituition, always has been. It was never God's will for man to be in bondage, that's why there is no freedom in Hell, it is part of the punishment. Man was created to be free and to roam around and make decisons freely but responsibly of course. A trillion dollars means nothing if you don't have freedom .
Jesus Himself said that HE came to FREE us from the bondage of sin.
