DESCRIPTION:
Couple things , in a way I realize this song is somewhat autobiographic....but the story .of course is fiction ...but the places around here spark more creative ideas than anything I can recall in San Diego ...The other thing , there is an illuminated cross towards the end , that is there because , frankly , an illuminated cross on the Salton Sea , off by itself , is pretty fucking photo graphical and it was a beautiful shot , some of my viewers probably wish I would go hard core Christian ...I can't predict the future , people change , but I am not there.....pretty convinced Jesus was probably no doubt someone I would of liked to have known in person , however, I am still on the fence about the son of god , et all....stuff ....and that is my right ....that said , some might imply that the subject matter and the resolution of the song has something to do with finding Jesus , this was not my intent ....one can repent and STILL be something other than a Christian ...I don't exclude myself from this process...John Butler Train ...right , I promised myself I was not going to tip my hand on that one and I won't , if your really interested , google it .... and no , not a PO fan , but what happened to him was very interesting and , of course , tragic ... I would have a drink with him as well .... this whole county has a very strong pull on me , much of the farm country south of here reminds me of like the Texas panhandle , particularly some of the tiny towns , NIland being one .... Niland has a very unique pull on me , I swear I could photograph over there for weeks ...the place just oozes a real "I have a story to tell " ......indeed ... oh yeah, wrote this on piano , like my other recent pieces , but this time I wanted a full on expanded song...
