Dafni - "Dimes" - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 02, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
Hi Friends,

"Dimes" grew out of a silly little melody that I came up with waiting for the Metro #4 at a bus stop in Los Angeles once upon a time. After playing it at shows for a year or so, my band recorded this version -- pretty much live -- at Big Ol' studio in North Hollywood, and I released it on my album "Charlie's Lonely Sunday" in 2007. I've written plenty of songs over the years, but this one has, for some reason, become the one that my friends and tiny fan base enjoy the most. After eight years, I figured I should make a video for it, and my talented friend Alex agreed, con mucho gusto, to help me, with some of my best friends agreeing to be extras. Dimes in my pocket, ladies and gentlemen. I hope you like it. Help spread the word: I'd like this song to get placed in an ad for, I don't know, some bank or insurance company, so I can live a life of leisure!

xoxo,
Dafni

I've got dimes in my pocket
I hope they're gonna get me home tonight
I've got dimes in my pocket
Everything is gonna be alright

I've gotta get home to see my baby
'Cause I've been working all day long
I've gotta get home to see my baby
'Cause with my baby that's where I belong

He'll be slaving by the stove
Cooking something good to eat
I'll be waiting in the cold
For the Number 4 to come along
