It's hard to believe that it's been 5 years since Cookin On 3 Burners released 'Soul Messin' the incredible album that included their massive crossover smash single 'This Girl', of which the vinyl 45 ended up being one of those records that was changing hands for crazy prices among the record collecting cognoscenti.

Both tracks on this double A side single are taken from their forthcoming album 'Blind Bet', and they are both outstanding example of beautiful modern soul & funk. On 'Mind Made Up' Kylie Auldist demonstrates, if any one had any doubt, that she is one of the premier contemporary soul vocalists working today. The snappy drums, crisp guitar and Jake Masons' organ work all compliment the vocals, whilst lush horns and strings lift this catchy track into future classic status!

And, if that wasn't enough, none other than chart topping, award winning Aussie singer Daniel Merriweather, is the featured vocalist on 'Losin' Streak', a heavy, deeply bluesy funk track that's dance floor dynamite. Merriweather, whose past collaborative credits include Mark Ronson, MC Saigon and Phrase, can now add the southern hemisphere's best funk & soul-jazz group to his illustrious CV.

So - Cookin' On 3 Burners are very much back, and this single promises to continue to spread their contemporary funk & soul sound right around the planet!
