Calla Kinglit - A Wanderin' Man - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 24, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
This is a song about the struggles of a wanderer. I have a tendancy to choose a wandering lifestyle, which while freeing also comes with burdens during the period of adjustment. Things are improving now! But this is a comment on those days where you feel old, tired and incapable. The chorus refers to the firey sunsets, the the thunder and lightening and the downpours of rain that are frequent in my new home (as it is the rainy season at the moment).

A Concentratin' Man

I am a wanderin man
wading through water
waist deep
wading through sand

I am a wanderin man
with a broken down soul
drawing through water
a penless hand

and I've never seen such angry nights
burning fires of twilight
burning fired everytime
doused by the cryin' night

I am a concentratin' man
looking for everything
to avoid who I am

I am a concentratin' man
using my feet to avoid
looking at the cracks in my hands

I've never seen such angry nights
burning fires of twilight
burning fires everytime
doused by the cryin' night

I am a hurtin' huntin' man
armed with nothing
waiting on the sound
of a water boilin' pan

I am a hurtin' huntin' man
pulling water from a pail
to was away
as much as I can

and I've never seen such angry nights
burning fires of twilight
burning fires everytime
doused by the cryin' night

I am a craddlin' man
holding words
cupped in the palm of my hands

I am a craddlin' man
crouching in the mud
to carve in the names of this land

and I've never seen such angry nights
burning fires of twilight
burning fires everytime
doused by the cryin' nights
