14 years after recording Buddha Sounds Vol 1 and after a three year hiatus, Buddha Sounds presents Buddha Sounds Vol. VII “ Life”, the new electrosensory trip from Alex Seoane’s band. On this album, Buddha Sounds has reached a certain level of maturity which shows in the creation its own genre, a fusion of Eastern sounds and Western pop. Life shows a deeper Buddha Sounds. This and the authority conferred by such an extensive career have created the perfect conditions in which to invite the celebrated charango player, Jiame Torres to add the strings of the highlands. Torres and Seoane produced the stunning Electroplano together in 2007 and his presence here in an album full of oriental colors sounds natural and welcome. The song “La Luna Trae” is a tune from the Tibetan highlands.
Buddha Sounds has always been a travel narrative, about crossing cultural boundaries. In this seventh volume we also hear hints of Russia in the haunting violins brought to us by Maia Krasnaia who has been influencing the band and Seoane since its inception.
