It all started on the Southside of Minneapolis for the duo Tony Bones and Big Wiz, who were childhood friends that later reconnected with music through producer Will Greens. First known as the Lyrical Pros, Wiz grew up on Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, and old school soul music. Tony was more into street hip-hop like Kool G Rap and Underground MC's. They have both had their share of street life, living on the Southside where tough times are no stranger, and it reflects in the music. True hip-hop heads, the duo have worked an original hip-hop sound that is gaining attention and fans at a rapid pace.



Tony Bones and Big Wiz have been carving out their place on the Twin Cities' hip-hop scene for over six years and set to release their debut album. The new album features Bones and Wiz smashing through tracks produced by Budda Tye, DJ D.Mil, and A. Alexander, plus features by the vocalist Ms. Maggie, T La Shawn, and Stereotype Click. Recently featured on the SP Style release "The Sounds" EP (summer '04), Bones and Wiz have been building a strong following beyond their Southside neighborhood. Selling out clubs Tabu, Station 4, and H2O, as well as headlining at the legendary First Ave. as well as bringing down some veterans of the game from NYC: AG and Party Arty, Bones and Wiz were featured in two shows with SP Style on Spring Break in Mazatlan, Mexico 05'.
