The Boom Room is a private recording studio that specializes in multimedia production, a fully equipped band rehearsal room, and an indoor/outdoor private event space owned and operated by drummer and multimedia producer Gary Dann. It is located in heart of the artistically burgeoning and culturally diverse Fishtown section of Philadelphia, PA.. This studio regularly hosts a variety of community education workshops, music production classes, a weekly open improvised songwriting workshop, album listening events, art gallery shows, and is working with local families to develop a neighborhood youth music mentorship program.

The ever-growing, impressive FAMILY of musicians, vocalists, DJs, and producers who have performed at an event, chosen to record or rehearse, or hosted workshops at The Boom Room includes Cee Knowledge & The Cosmic Funk Orchestra (Doodlebug of Grammy winning Digable Planets), Jaguar Wright, Rich Medina, King Britt, DJ Touchtone of 100.3 The Beat, Grammy winning producer Aaron Levinson, Nick Bockrath of Nicos Gun, Dave P (Making Time), DJ PHSH, Mike Tyler (Pearl Jam, Billy Joel, LL Cool J), Jon Guttliwig of Disco Biscuits, Pablo Batista (Alicia Keys' percussionist), Liam Wilson of The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Magic Message DJs, Nex Millen, Sean Thomas, Sound Between Movement/Drumsong, Garrett Dutton aka G. Love, Grimace Federation, BAM! and many others.

The weekly Sunday Night Music Church open collaborative songwriting workshop and jam is a free open opportunity for emerging musicians to meet and develop their ideas. Often hosted by legendary singer Jaguar Wright (who toured with The Roots, Jay-Z, and Al Green among many others), Music Church at The Boom Room has brought together some of Philly's most talented vocalists, instrumentalists, writers, and poets to write, create, and improvise spontaneously all while aerial acrobats performers and hang above the band from The Live Room's 18 foot aerial acrobatics rig, which hangs from the ceiling of the space's live room.
