DESCRIPTION:
The Boom Room is a private recording studio, a multimedia production house, a fully equipped band rehearsal room, and an indoor/outdoor private event space located in the heart of Fishtown; a Philadelphia neighborhood that is brimming with music venues, restaurants, cafes, and nightlife.

The studio boasts an impressive family of diverse artists who call it home for their rehearsal and recording sessions, live video shoots and showcases, community workshops, pop up art shows, outdoor BBQs, and other events.

The acoustically treated live room features tons of industry standard live PA and band backline gear. Hanging from the live room’s 18 foot high ceiling is an aerial silks rig for acrobatic performances and aerial lessons.

The recording studio’s control room is centered around the Allen and Heath GSR24m analog recording console. The GSR has a 32 in / 32 out interface, functions as an analog summing mixer, and serves as a motorized fader controller for the studio’s recording software which is hosted on a blazing fast Mac based workstation. There is an extensive selection of world class and industry standard microphones, preamps, compressors, DI boxes, and software plugins.

The private, fenced in outdoor event space has a bar area, stage for spoken word and acoustic performances, 3 huge BBQ Grills, a 2nd floor roof deck, and multiple art installations including a 32 foot high mural on the building’s exterior. When not using the outdoor area for events, it can double as a parking lot for up to 4 vehicles giving clients a private, secure gear load in and entrance to the studio.
