The 27th release on Sound Avenue finds the label coming off one of its strongest offerings to date. Andrew McDonnell's 'Patience Of Envy' has been and continues to be heavily played by one Guy J. It was Navar's 'Inside Out' interpretation that really struck a chord with Guy who has not only charted it but also featured it in many of his ADE mixes. Keeping the momentum strong Sound Avenue now presents a great collaboration from two of Japan's most influential electronic music figures. OMB & Ogawa have teaming up for 'Jiva' which comes with remixes from: Blusoul and David Granha.

Collectively OMB & Ogawa have made their mark not only in their home country but also worldwide. The pair have appeared on Stripped Digital, Baroque, Particles and Street King in addition to FRAME and Bass Works which are two of Japan's most well known imprints. Their debut single for Sound Avenue is a driving hybrid of melodic techno and new school progressive house. The tightly constructed groove has some serious hops and the well tweaked keys only add to the compositions incredible bounce. The twisted journey that the lead theme takes you on is the real brilliance here. A long looping wave of harmonic modulation that gnaws away at your brain and is sure to be a hit on the darker more educated dance floors out there.

The first remix is provided by Blusoul who is making his debut appearance on Sound Avenue. The Greek producer has slowly built up an impressive resume that has solidified him as one of the more in demand talents of the moment. Appearances on 3rd Avenue, 99percent and Lowbit along with forthcoming productions for Denis A's DAR looks to cap off a successful year for Blusoul. His interpretation of 'Jiva' adds some serious meat to the groove. Blusoul's chunky rolling bass tones have never sounded better and the thrusting stabs add a dynamic swing that's sure to be deadly on the floor. The haunting vocal trails add a wonderfully evocative effect and once the rhythmic tones drop in the result is a darkroom vibe like no other.

The final remix on the release is supplied by David Granha who is also making his debut appearance on Sound Avenue. The Spanish producer recently appeared on John Digweed's Transitions show with a forthcoming remix for Chris Fortier's long standing Fade Records. In addition to an impressive discography David has been remixed some of the industry's most cutting edge producers. Charlie May, Ryan Davis, Fairmont, Alexander Kowalski, Greg Gow and Gai Barone have all reworked David's productions. For his 'Jiva' interpretation David has crafted a marvellous 'Acid Shapes' rework. The hypnotic techno framework is incredibly powerful and the liquid like acid lines are pure aural pleasure. Dynamic builds along with a brain melting drop up the intensity tenfold as the second act closes the package out with a bang.
