In May of 1912 The Frisco Jass Band recorded the First Jass Records for Edison's Record Company. One of those records was Johnson "Jass" Blues. It was recorded about 3 months after the what most experts consider the first Jazz records recorded, and those were by the Original Dixie Land Jazz Band. The Phonograph featured is an early Edison Model A-250 which was the first Edison Disc Phonograph that was made available to the General Public in 1912.
