So whats the story with I Rise? Lots of people keep asking me that. I can only give one answer. I'm not quite sure. We toured pretty much non-stop for 2 and half years, and it took a toll on us. Touring is my absolute favorite thing to do, but we started coming home with less money than we had when we started. It's hard to justify leaving home for 5 weeks only to lose money. That, and the fact that our record label isn't really in business at the moment made it pretty much impossible to be a band. Nicky and I don't want to half ass anything, so we decided to wait for the right moment. We are not broken up, just dormant for a while. The last thing we want to do is break up, only to decide that we want to start playing again, and then have one of those awkward reunion shows 6 months after breaking up (like so many bands do). So sticking with my answer, I'm not quite sure whats up with us but keep checking back. If I've learned anything in life, it's never give up.
