ANIMATO is a high-energy, electro dance machine from Los Angeles, CA comprised of Joey Medina, Raul Martinez, Rexelle, Steve Mungarro, and Jason Ywahu. This collaborative band encompasses a multitude of influences infused with 80s New Wave, Electro-Funk, Synthpop, Indie Rock, and Britpop bands such as Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, Kasabian, Cut Copy, Friendly Fires, Chromeo, M83, even a little James Brown, and so on.

ANIMATO released their debut self-titled EP in September 2014. The track “Souls For Gold” (http://bit.ly/SoulsForGold) is featured in the upcoming film “Looking for Lions,” which officially premiered in the 2014 Austin Film Festival.
