Los Angeles band ANIMATO is a high-energy, electro dance machine comprised of Joey Medina, Raul Martinez, Jason Ywahu, Steve Mungarro, and Rexelle. This collaborative new project encompasses a multitude of influences infused with 80s New Wave, Electro-Funk, Synthpop, Indie Rock, and Britpop bands such as Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, Kasabian, Cut Copy, Friendly Fires, Chromeo, M83, even a little James Brown, and so on.

ANIMATO released their debut self-titled EP in September 2014. The track “Souls For Gold” is featured in the upcoming film “Looking for Lions,” which was officially selected to premier in the 2014 Austin Film Festival.
