Biography
The Woodland Creatures are an acoustic folk duo, based in Norwich. They have been playing music together for 2-3 years, after graduating from an arts school (NUCA) and boast a multi-instrumental set up including a banjo, tin whistles, bodhran and much more.

They cover a range of genres from contemporary folk and traditional Irish folk, to country and an eclectic mix of covers. The girls are most well known for their unique harmonies, with Christina's unusual and distinctive main vocals and Lizzy's soft harmonies.

In the few years The Woodland Creatures have been together, they have grown rapidly and have become a very accomplished band. Together they have independently recorded an 7 track e.p, organised a 9 date tour around the South of England, made t-shirts and supported the likes of Folk legends Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick.

2012 proves to be an exciting year for the girls with numerous festivals and gigs lined up and plans to professionally record an e.p.

'Housemates lizzy and christina have created the softest, and most traditional, of folk music around. With their mulit-instrumental set up (banjo, bodhran, djembe, baby accordian and more) The Woodland Creatures evoke rural simplicity with an earthy sense of pagan ideals. The term 'the olden days' has never felt more appropriate in the track 'Highland Whistle', from their debut e.p. Picture a wind-kissed young maiden, a stormy coastal moor and a collection of tin whistles and your there. The Woodland Creatures are committed to polishing the tarnished roots of folk music and displaying them on the proverbial mantelpiece of our minds - a bewitching band with the keenest understanding of folk.' - Fine City Magazine
