The Metro-gnomes

The Metro-gnomes are one part Mark Rafferty, one part Andrea Tomlinson. Together they make music in a kitchen on the top floor of a tenement flat in Glasgow. They prefer things simple, using only a mixture of voice, moothie and guitar.with the occasional dash and/or splash of piano, ukulele, accordion, zither and kazoo. They have just released their first EP entitled ‘i have a photograph’ with Glasgow-based indie label Lucky Number Nine and it can be found in independant record shops around Glasgow (monorail, avalanche, oxfam music) as well as at www.luckynumbernine.co.uk. Also.seek and yee shall find the wonderful scottish compilation put together by Aufgeladen und Bereit called Get While the Gettings Good that features the Metro-gnomes' track "i should've known" as well as some other great songs by bands like the Pendulums, the State Broadcasters, Future Pilot A.K.A, Tibi Lubin, Wake the President, and Camera Obscura.
