DESCRIPTION:
Art Outside, a very special Jazz Outside Event featured guest visual artists from Albuquerque, New Mexico Miko Zen and KD Neeley painting live on stage to the jazz show at Kenny Dorham's Backyard downtown in Austin, Texas. The show went from 7pm - 10pm with three hours of nonstop live painting and music. The opening performance featured a beautiful start with Willie Oteri delivering some improv acoustic. The energy increased as Oteri was joined on stage by Dave Laczko for an improv Willie Oteri and WD-41 performance. Oteri and Laczko were then joined by as many as six other performers as Harold McMillan's Word/Jazz Lowstars stepped up along with spoken word and poetry from Thom the World Poet and Gwendolyn Yveonna Muhammad. The guests have given this montage of photos and videos that we've done our best to reassemble into this time-lapse video to bring you a glimpse of that amazing show.
