About The Milestone Club:

"What sort of twisted hall of fame is North Carolina cloaking from the rest of the world? Bad Brains, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Confessor, Corrosion Of Conformity, D.O.A., Fear, Fugazi, GG Allin, Husker Du, Lunachicks, Minor Threat, Mission Of Burma, Motorhead, Neurosis, Nirvana, Screeching Weasel, Sleep, Texas Is The Reason, The Dead Boys, The Exploited, The Go-Go's, The Professionals, The Replacements…Also Bo Diddley and Melissa Etheridge not to mention Prong, REM, and Sunny Day Real Estate." Since 1969 Charlotte, NC's legendary punk-rock venue The Milestone Club has been a welcome home to hundreds of touring artists and locals alike. The graffiti and stickers that cover every square inch of its walls (and much of the ceiling and floors) document a long and illustrious history of American rock, punk, hardcore, alternative, and indie music--told directly by the very instruments of its design. No matter who you are, what you're about, or where you're from--if you are there to enjoy the music in its purest, raw representation--then you will not be disappointed.

Musicians in Charlotte, NC honestly can't live without this place or the people who work tirelessly to keep it going. The property it occupies is currently up for sale. The club's owners are looking for investors who are interested in preserving one of Charlotte's last remaining original music venues, and a significant part of American music history.

DISCLAIMER:
This video should be ad-free.

Apparently one of the robots with an algorithm, a plan, and a twitchy trigger finger hijacked my video and claimed copyright ownership. They've been running ads over this video for an unknown amount of time without my knowledge. While I am not affiliated with Kayo Dot outside of being a fan of their music; this video is an original recording, made (shaky), edited (poorly), and published (passively), by me alone.

I received permission from the band and the venue in advance. I have no wish to profit from this video, all the actual hard work was done by the guys on stage and the venue staff. I don't monetize other peoples' art without their express prior consent (plus a mutually agreed upon royalty payment - or burrito, whichever is greater.).

A dispute was filed, so it should be back to being ad-free now.

Thanks for watching!
