sorry the sound sucks so bad. This is a new camera, and the microphone's not as robust as my old one was. I'm going to have to start recording from another source and mixing my vids if I want to keep using this camera.

I saw Buckwheat for the first time in 1983. I was living in Houston and won tickets to a show. I had absolutely no idea back then what the heck ZYDECO was (pre-internet). The people I asked tried to explain it to me, but no one was making any sense. So I show up at Rockefellers, a converted bank in the seedy part of Houston, and a very young Buckwheat comes out playing his accordian WITH A RACOON ON HIS SHOULDER!! He puts the racoon on a stand like you'd put a parrot on, and proceeds to ROCK. By 83, I had already seen pyrotechnics, light shows, exploding drums and every other theatrical trick you can imagine - but this took the cake!! And the only place I'd ever seen an accordian before was in the POLKA bands back in Pittsburgh (think the first half of The Deer Hunter), so this was a complete surprise. And I had NEVER seen spoons played like this. Having since seen Rosie Ledette, Nathan and the Cha Cha's, Terrence and the playboys, Sonny and a host of others (don't forget Pittsburgh
