After a number of years spent guitar-slinging with various post-punk rock stalwarts (New Model Army, Spear of Destiny, Sex Gang Children, etc.) Adrian Portas felt that it was high time he unlocked the dungeon and unleashed the monster that is War Machines of Love on an unsuspecting and ill prepared world.
Quickly recruiting legendary record producer Chris Kimsey (of Rolling Stones fame) the band set about recording their debut album 'Heaven Sent' for the Deluxe Label.

Born: Sheffield UK Resides: London UK. Added to the above it should also be mentioned that Adrian is currently playing guitar with Kirk Brandon's Spear of Destiny. Despite being warned that this was an extremely bad idea by various rock luminaries Adrian is finding the experience highly enjoyable and will be touring the US and Europe with Spear later in the Year.
Martin Olofsson - violin
Born: Stockholm Sweden. Resides: Athens, Greece. Ex member of Sex Gang Children, acclaimed art connoisseur and owner of Athens' premier Scandinavian furniture emporium (I kid you not, check out www.myran.gr),
Jon Bouillot - bass
Born: London, UK. Resides: Rome Italy. Ex-Dollface bassist, famed for being thrown out of the Nina Hagen Band for being too lairy (no surprise to those who know him).
Erik Stams - drums
Born: New York City, USA. Resides: Caerleon (Wales) UK. A stalwart of the New York/London scenes Erik was recently seen teaching Aled Jones to play drums for the BBC celebrity TV show 'Play it Again'
