DESCRIPTION:
This video features my homemade ca. 1960's Fender Vibro-Champ, using the AA764 schematic with upgrades from the AB764 schematic. Included is a detailed analysis of the cabinet, chassis, circuit, and overall construction features. Hints and suggestions for scratch building amplifiers are provided, and the amp is played with and without the tremolo effect. I was not thrilled with the somewhat muffled tone from the speaker used in the video, and subsequently replaced it with a nice vintage Jensen C12Q that provided a huge improvement in clarity and frequency response.
