DESCRIPTION:
Ibanez Fretless Musician. June 1982. Model MC 940. Serial F824288. Mine since 1985. It is a little heavy on the shoulder after a 3 hour gig, but it plays like a dream. It can handle a great variety of tones and styles even with flatwound strings.
The problem I have is that I need help tracking down original machine heads. The tuners are called "Velve Tune BII". I want to replace two of them and I can't find them anywhere. There is a modern tuner by Ibanez that will fit but it secures using only one screw not two, and it is black instead of chrome. The peg hole is 18mm and the modern one fits well but when you have a 30 year old bass you want authentic parts so if anyone has them please let me know or spread the word. Contact via Youtube.
