After three rocking albums and years of relentless touring, it was time for indie-pop veterans Velojet to forge a new direction. Time takes its toll imperceptibly, yet inexorably, on every body, every mind. Suddenly for this normally cheerful, good-humoured band, whose concerts famously turned into one all night party after another, they found themselves with new values, like a newfound curiosity for sounds and traveling, an important and proven way to trigger inspiration for Velojet.

Thus the band decided to leave their safe home behind, jump into their '66 VW bus and hit the road, to Italy, Corsica, even India and Thailand. They tried out new song ideas, recorded song sketches and questioned everything about why and how they make music.
On they way, the sounds of Pink Floyd, Leonard Cohen and Wendy Carlos flowed, lightly distorted, through overdriven mini-speakers, with the band in an increasingly trance-like state, which clearly influenced the shiny, psychedelic, radiant kaleidoscope of sound that is their new album "Panorama".
