The Kalashnikovs
At 3am they made the hit
grabbed me tight so still I'd sit
The house unfenced, in and out they went
Two black hoods their faces hid,
My head spun from fear, but shut up I did.

They aimed with two Kalashnikovs, my hands they bound
they gagged me so I couldn't make a sound
I'm straight, too straight for such a fate...

My house they stripped
the contents fouled and pillows ripped
probing it all to look, appliances and wallets they took,
and my baptismal cross, oh dear, I cannot bear the loss
and my baptismal cross, but I stayed quiet as a mouse.

With two Kalashnikovs they snatched a lifetime's toil
the PARANOID thing is that they beat me to a coil
I'm cowardly, too cowardly for such a eulogy...

At 3am they made the hit
closed the door and left me to sit.
But as they went and glanced behind, I broke their bind
One hand untied, I gave the finger
They saw the gesture but did not linger.

With two Kalashnikovs my life I did adore
knowing my soul would remain no matter what they bore
I'm crazy, too crazy for this to be...
