Vengeance of Charles Vane

A powerful Captain, a true guiding light
Charles Vane, his name causes shiver in fright
Although his fate was sealed by a traitorous crime
A year of dire suffering in a cell full of grime
On the day he was sentenced to death by the rope,
A Black sun did rise, vanished was hope

Then from the depths emerged a divine being,
Calypso was the name of this marvelous thing.
She said “Vane, have your vengeance, I’ll grant you your will.
Your wraith resurrected when your body is still.
And the time comes for them to admit their guilt.
Your soul will find rest when their red blood is spilt.”
The deal was agreed on and she gave blessings to Vane,
I’ll find relief when the traitors are slain!
