OUT NOW: New split 7" with Mistake from holland!



VALS is an anarcho-punk band originated in Enschede in Holland and now located all over the Netherlands. VALS was born in march 2000. Our intention is to increase awareness of the world we live in. Our lyrics are very political and address topics like animal-rights, mass-consumption and force-fed morality.



We are inspired by bands like Rudimentary Peni, Crass, Conflict, Oi Polloi, Dirt, Cress, Zounds and Antisect.

In our 9 years of existence we have played loads of shows throughout Holland. Also we did 3 USA tours and multiple tours through Europe. A European tour with our friends GRUK from California is coming up in June//July 2009, taking us to Holland, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Switserland and Italy. Touring is for us a great way to meet new friends and see cool places, hope to see you on the road!



Currently we are working on 2 split 7"-es. First one to be released is a split 7" EP with Mistake from Holland. This will be released in March 2009. The second one is with Sand Creek Massacre from Holland, also planned to be released somewhere in 2009.



Releases

October 2000 split demo-tape with HoeSooDan? This tape was released by ourselves and came with a 15 page booklet about the squatted (and now evicted) Kalenderpanden in Amsterdam. At that time de Kalenderpanden were facing eviction and this tape was a protest against this.



Juli 2001 debut CD vrede, vrijheid, anarchie (peace, freedom and anarchy). CDr containing 15 songs. This was also released by ourselves.



January 2002 Maximaal onthaal compilation CD. This compilation came out on Royal Blood records as a protest against a Dutch royal wedding and contains 25 songs of dutch punkbands (o.a. SeeinRed, Mihoen, Betercore, Shikari and Makiladoras). Track on this comp: Democratic Monarchy



September 2002 3-continental split CDr. This CDr was released by the UPS (Underground Punk Support) label and contains 8 new Vals recordings. Also on this release: Crashed Out (Indonesian Mohack-Punk) & Melee (U.S. Trash)



March 2003 7" EP "Punk is in" containing 7 songs. Released on our own label VALS Records. Tracks on this release: Aanklacht // Punk is in // War Industry // Doe het zelf // Veiliger zonder jou // Animal // Verrechtsing



June 2006 12" Split LP with our friends P.A.W.N.S. from the USA. Released DIY.



August 2007 VALS Discocraphy cd released in Brasil.



November 2007 Track on the "Unity and Strength" compilation cd. Awesome comp with 31 bands on it from all over.



Beginning of 2008 Track on the "same shit, different arse" compilation. This is a compilation of CRESS covers containing our version of "Own Eyes". The album is compiled by the CRESS members. It is available

Februari 2010 Split 7" with Mistake called 'Not now, not ever!'.

This split is an allegation against the current deportation policy of the Dutch government.



Every year about 20.000 so called ‘illegal’ immigrants are imprisoned innocently in The Netherlands. These people are locked away under bad conditions, for an uncertain amount of time. This policy is in violation of internationally recognized human rights! This governmental policy has the goal to permanently remove these people from society. We demand freedom to all imprisoned, illegal declared refugees and immigrants! No one is illegal!
