WE WANT TO CONGRATULATE OUR BASSIST WOUT AND HIS GIRLFRIEND LINDA WITH THE BIRTH OF THEIR NEW SON "TIKAS ELIAN" BORN 8-12-2009,WE WISH YOU ALL THE BEST OF LUCK,GALBAK +CREW We started out in 1999 in alphen a/d rijn our hometown ,a town with no example's
what so ever in hardcore /punk music in the middle of hollands biggest city"s amsterdam,the hague,rotterdam,utrecht. Alphen had no cool bands or squats .
So we started our own band . Our music's a mixture of metal ,hardcore with a thick layer of punk and sometimes some ska/reggae loops thru some numbers to break up the noise .
Our lyrics have become more serious with the years. now every new song has an opinion about ,observations ,political climate in holland and the world, globalization, war, the Dutch monarchy , media bullshit, human and animal rights, d.i.y., activism and fuck know what else.



While playing in this band we recorded 2 demo's:'Rot uit de strot'(rotting out of the throat)and 'Demo-cratie bestaat niet'(demo-cracy doesn't exist).
An album: 'kruipt waar het niet gaan kan'(crawls where it can't go) with 17 songs.
We've been on several complication tapes/cd's.

Some of us were involved in squating. We had a big squat in our hometown called the C.P.A. ( cultural projects Alphen). It was the first squat sinds 20 years. We build a stage and a bar and organised a punk/crust festival. There was a hall were the local skaters could skate and there were places were artists could paint. It was an exiting time until the day came that the squat was evicted. After that there was a squat "de Zwarte kater" ( the black cat or the dark hangover) were we played a verry nice gig with some great bands in it's short existance.
Tas didn't had enough time anymore and Kutje moved to Croatia. And there were only 4 left.
We were looking for a new vocalist and found one. Anne is singing along with new songs and is joining us to gigs.her husband paddo is a great roady too.
2007 Galbak is a family. On 03-11-07 Sofie Isabella was born and Kluut became a dad. And on 07-31-07 Elisa Mayla was born and Wouter became a dad to.
Galbak is full of life, were writing new songs, were making plans to record it al and play it life.
