DESCRIPTION:
A much softer and relaxed offering this week from Urban Graffiti's SHAPES AND COLOURS. Gentle pads drift delicately around the soft filtered keys as spacious, carefully placed percussion lead you up to the classic "I need your 'lovin" vocal bite, made famous by many of the early 90's hardcore pioneers. The vocal sits perfectly on the gentle bed of sounds as simple, yet highly effective reversed cymbal crashes lead up to the drop. Here we see how breakbeats can be used just as effectively in a more mellow setting. They clatter and roll in a way that perfectly compliments the overall vibe of the tune, whilst at the same time driving the track forward, never too aggressive and always retaining a heavy rollin' groove. A wicked summertime tune and a great example of tripped out breakbeats on a more mellow tip.
