(C) 2012 Teddi Tarnoff/ Gina Gleason/ Poison Ivy Music
Teddi Tarnoff first came on the scene as a featured musician and teacher at the real life School of Rock. Having studied music both in the states and abroad, Teddi has spent almost all of her life honing her craft and developing her art. She has had the pleasure of working with such famed opera teachers as Enza Ferrari and Bruno Rigacci, and attended Temple University for Jazz Vocal Performance. And at the tender age of 11, Teddi began studying classical violin at The Curtis Institute.

Gina Gleason began playing guitar at age 14. She started guitar lessons at the School of Rock and later studied upright bass at the Girard Academic Music Program and music theory and studio engineering at Temple University. She's performed at festivals including Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, and is the newest featured musician/artist working with Cirque du Soleil.

Teddi and Gina began playing together when they formed Queen Diamond (Female Tribute to King Diamond/Mercyful Fate) in 2007 and then Misstallica (All Girl Tribute to Metallica) in 2008. The pair had instant chemistry and began writing together.

They've toured all over and with artists including Jon Anderson (Yes), Marky Ramone (The Ramones), Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction), Leann Rimes, Alice Cooper, Miriam Linna (The Cramps), Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, Steve Vai), Brendon Small (Dethklok), Adrian Belew (King Crimson, David Bowie), Richard Christy (Death, Iced Earth), Dr. Know (Bad Brains) & Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys).

Many projects and moons later, the two have now released their debut self titled album "The Northern Lights". Along with band-mates Rosalie Hooper (bass), Foster Longo (keys/organ) and Branden King (drums), their sound is where light meets dark, where gritty goodness is balanced by delicateness. Their music keeps its indie roots secure while turning on the rock edge for a full and powerful sound encompassing the spirit of love and the essence of life.
