I first became familiar with Typhanie Monique several years ago when I hosted a series similar to our Whiskey Lounge concerts at a venue called Q2. Perhaps you remember it. Typhanie performed at Q2 with our mutual friend, Neal Alger, and blew us all away.

Her repertoire ranges from standards to soul to pop to R&B. Such a soulful voice, such a warm personality, such a great storyteller. Typhanie sings, she teaches, she tours, and I've been eager to get her into the Whiskey Lounge to share her talents with our audience. She's recently back from Europe and I'm thrilled we will have the chance to hear her this week! She will be joined by the gifted pianist, Ben Lewis. Ben is well known and highly respected in the Chicago jazz community – these two fine artists are certain to put on an ultra-cool show for a warm Summer evening. Enjoy!
