Typhanie has performed several times at the Whiskey Lounge, and each time she brings something a little different and always fabulous. She has a pure voice, solid technique, diverse repertoire and such a soulful delivery. By the way, if you happened to see The Music Moves by the Evanston Dance Ensemble several weeks ago, you will recall that Typhanie was the featured vocalist with my quintet for Soul Cabaret, a delightful piece of choreography by Eddy Ocampo. It was a fun show, and people just loved Typhanie. This week at the Whiskey Lounge she will be bringing her own quartet, featuring our extremely talented friends Ben Lewis and Larry Kohut, and a fine drummer, Jeremy Cunningham, who I will be meeting along with you on Thursday evening. You will be there, right?
