A song about lots of things. I was noticing nobody ever winds the big public clocks, like town clocks, and it seemed to me typical that we don't have a shared value, a shared pulse. And a good example of a shared pulse would be to see that the period from Age 20 to about Age 29 is when you're most unlike the person you were before 19 and the person you'll be after 30.
