Emo is short for emotive hardcore punk, a subgenre of hardcore punk, which is a subgenre of punk. The "emo style" is just how people reflect the music they love the most into their appearance. If you're calling yourself emo or scene, you're just being a poser. And by that, i mean your trying to fit in with a certain group because you think it would be cool. I admit, I was self labeling when i made this video, because i was called "emo" so much i just thought it must be true. But now, i don't really care if I'm called "emo" or "scene" or whatever. I where the clothes i want, and i listen to the music i want because i enjoy it. And no other reason. If your calling yourself "emo" or "scene" or any other label really, your just trying to fit in, and not being real (hence posing, hence being a poser). No one is "emo" or "scene", it is just simply the style people dress in order to express their music. Everyone is human. Just with different styles and opinions. I'm not calling anyone a poser. I'm just saying that if you're calling yourself anything but human, you're just posing to fit in.

And as for the self harm, many people seem to be misinterpreting the video. Just because you are labeled "emo" doesnt mean you self harm. Listening to "emo" music doesnt mean you self harm. People who self harm do it for different reasons, some for attention, some out of anger towards themselves, some feel they deserve it, some actually do get a relief of emotional pain from it (i am myself a recovering self harmer). Emo is a label that is associated with self harm because "emo" dressed people are stereotyped as depressed. However self harm is in no way a joke, or a trend, or style like emo is. It is something to be taken seriously. If you do self harm, talk to a trusted friend or adult and get some help.

I don't self label anymore, if someone wants to call me emo or whatever let 'em, its not guna hurt. The only reasons this video is still up is because:
1) it demotes hate and that will never be a bad thing
2) i hope it puts it out there that self harm isn't a joke or something to fuck around with.
3) its a successful vid for some reason, and what kind of youtuber would i be if i took down a successful vid of mine? ^_^

Song name is Bring Me Down by Andy Clayton

-if you're a hater, and hate on kids for being different, you can fuck off and die in a hole♥
