So the story is this: two tracks, Twinkletoes and Underthreat, were orignally released on Hydraulix in January 2011 Hydraulix Label boss Dave the Drummer then sends out a message on Facebook: "who wants to remix some tracks?" A bunch of producers reply, and this is the result. We think there's something here for everyone. Mixes come from : Chris Liberator & Sterling Moss - Underthreat Chris and Sterling are pretty much single-handedly flying the London Acid Techno flag these days, and are responsible for some of the best Acid and Hard techno releases of the last 2 years. Nick Grater & Andre Frauenstein - Underthreat + Twinkletoes South Africa's principle techno warlord Nick Grater teams up with regular production buddy and equally prolific hard techno producer Andre Frauenstein for a stomp through both tracks. Spiros Kaloumenos - Twinkletoes Greece's greatest techno export, Spiros Kaloumenos, is an incredibly prolific producer with a trademark sound and groove that you can rely on to get any dancefloor moving. This remix has a fantastic funky feel to it. Patrick DSP - Underthreat Fresh from his recent outburst on Kne Deep records, studio designer and production wizard Patrick DSP delivers a pounding mix of Underthreat. Driving drums and filtered industrial noises weave their way through the track, making it a dark hypnotic ride. Mike Humphries - Twinkletoes Label boss of the legendary Mastertraxx records, Mike bring his trademark techno sound to Hydraulix. Mikes history of remixes and production credits spans some of the most loved techno record labels in history including, Punish, Planet Rhythm and Bush along with many more. Glenn Wilson - Twinkletoes It's always an honour to have a Glenn Wilson track on any EP and this time Glenn's version of Twinkletoes will appeal to all techno heads with its dark industrial stabs and grinding bass groove. DJ Mark Morris & Thomas Pardo - Underthreat Coming from Naples, you can hear the influence of the region in Marks productions. His driving minimal style has been name-checked by many DJ's, including Marco Carola and Ricardo Villalobos. Vegim - Underthreat + Twinkletoes You may already know Vegim from Kamikaze records or Naked Lunch records. He's from Kosovo and his production ideas vary from industrial, to broken beat through to experimental techno. Tony Montana - Underthreat Brighton's Tony Montana has been recording tracks with Dave The Drummer on Hydraulix and Naked Lunch records and has had recent releases on Elektrax music. Tony's remix here is heavy and atmospheric with a driving kick and spacey FX. DJ Hi-Shock - Twinkletoes Dj Hi-Shock is the owner of techno imprints Elektrax and Hypnotic Room.
