Nataly’s Corner proudly features music by independent smooth jazz artist Kevin L. Jones from his latest CD, “Parachute for Birds”. Though I really like the smooth sensual tunes from Kevin’s debut CD/album [A Place of Solitude], this new CD [in my opinion] puts emphasis on Kevin’s versatility with instrumentation. Kevin composes his music with such great intensity that there was no doubt he would follow-up with the same “tasty” vibes that his listeners are used to. Kevin started out very early with a passion for music instrumentation from listening to old blues and jazz records. His Uncle taught him how to keep time on the snare drum when he was 3 years old and he kept his interest in the drums…performing in competitions and earning “Best Jazz Drummer”. He went on to learn to play the trombone, bass guitar, and keyboards. In 1993, he started mixing his own tracks which eventually led to his interest for the saxophone and working towards recording his own music. When searching for Kevin’s music on-line, you’ll find it under the name “Kj”.
