The emergence of thE.thinkinG.principlE (bioG)

Late July 2005- Vocalist and Bassist met in a bar (good start for a journey of self exploration!), after many Vodka's they reminisced about the great technical rock/metal bands of yester-year that helped mould and create many present bands style, including their own musical outlook.

Bands such as Coroner, Athiest, Watchtower, Rush, Psychotic Waltz and The Beyond.
(To name but a few.) Bands that have gone on to influence many of the metal bands performing the world today.
Music that both musicians had been strongly influenced by throughout their musical career.

It was decided to write material for a new band, with the intention of returning to their experimental roots.
Music with no boundaries, commercial limits or expectations, yet keeping the essence of a true melodic metal band.
After years of performing and writing music primarily with commercially accessible style in mind, thoughts of playing the music purely for their self again seemed very refreshing.
Finding like minded musicians, they then set the wheels in motion and collectively the music flowed.

From the start 'thE.thinkinG.principlE' agreed that there should be no limits, and that it had to have melody. It didn't matter how heavy, how mellow, technical or even how simple it became as long as the band was 'feeling' it musically. Experimental, melodic, thinking metal, with thought provoking lyrics. Music that would capture people's attention and imagination.

Using influences from many musical genres, the hybrid mutant soundscape created by thE.thinkinG.principlE is unashamedly self indulgent, instantly recognisable, has groove walking hand in hand with disjointed rhythms, chaos alongside melodic harmonies, confusion leading to control and depth with thought provoking lyrical reflections on human life.

As a braniac once said-

True freedom is the freedom which creates itself, or realizes itself. Self-realization means self-development".
