DESCRIPTION: Peter Philips was a noted English composer of the Renaissance. Being a Catholic during the excesses of the English Reformation, he was forced to flee to continental Europe, where he spent the rest of his life in exile. He travelled throughout Europe to hear other notable composers of his time.
