Linda Ronstadt recorded 2 different versions of "Silver Threads and Golden Needles. " The one heard most often is from her 1973 album, Don't Cry Now. Here is the earlier, less known version from her 1969 Capitol album, Hand Sown...Home Grown, her first solo release. The song was written by Dick Reynolds and Jack Rhodes and was first recorded by Wanda Jackson in 1956 and was later a hit for the British group, the Springfields, in 1962.
