The Silence Kit is a Philadelphia-based post-punk band that plays textured indie rock inspired by shoegaze, neo-psych, avant-garde experimentalism and Americana, drawing comparisons to acts like The Cure, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and The Psychedelic Furs (album) with their mood, melodic sound. The band is currently releasing a new single every month or two with new A-Sides, and B-Sides which could be new songs, re-recordings, or covers. Their latest is today's Song of the Day, "Supermarket", a swirling track with a winding backbeat and noisy riffs.
