A STASIS WAS BORN is the first ever demo for the American Experimental Sludge/Doom band Stasis. It is an all instrumental release. It was available January 1st 2006 though these tracks were written from as early as 2002-2005. Released directly from the band on CD and CASSETTE. It was recorded mostly in MAINE and some tracks were recorded in ARIZONA. This was the first official release for the band. On this release the only musicians are MICHAEL LEONARD MAIEWSKI-guitars, bass, programming, noise. And RICKEY ROGER ALDRIDGE-guitars. Michael Leonard Maiewski is known for being in the bands Stasis, Exacerbate, Seahorse Battlefield, The Lotus Petals, Darktower, Necrolepsy, Pair of Dice, the Potion, Green Wizard, and his funeral doom solo outing Misery. Michael Leonard Maiewski also plays drums for the bands Devil Dinosaur and Highfather, bass for the bands Bleak Silence and played strings for Retro Grave, whilst it was a duet with original Trouble drummer Jeff Oly Olson. And started his own label Succulent Records.
