Originally hailing from Las Vegas, Huff honed his songwriting and live performance chops far away from the bright lights of the strip. Instead, he delved into an artist driven underground scene that propelled him onto the national spotlight, opening for luminaries such as Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Chris Isaak. He finds himself living now in the singer/songwriter's paradise of Nashville, Tennessee but never stops feeling the calling of the road. "I'm the most at home playing to a roomful of strangers," says Huff.

Mark Huff's latest album Feels Like California, the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Gravity, was done in Nashville with producer Adam Landry (Deer Tick, Middle Brother, Diamond Rugs) at his Playground Sound Studio, bringing in Nashville session stalwarts Fred Eltringham on drums (The Wallflowers, The Dixie Chicks, K.D. Lang, Ben Kweller); James Haggerty on bass (Josh Rouse, Keith Gattis); and Stuart Mathis on guitar (The Wallflowers, Jewel, Leann Rimes).
