BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH :
Siobhán O'Brien (born in Limerick, Ireland) is a singer-songwriter who performs with acoustic guitar and harmonica. O'Brien has performed with Bob Dylan, The San Diego Symphony, The Chieftains at Boston Symphony Hall, The Fleadh Cowboys,Damien Dempsey and Liam Ó Maonlaí (Hothouse Flowers) and has supported such acts as: Christy Moore, Donovan, The Cranberries ,Sharon Shannon, Henry McCullough (Wings), Maria McKee,Tir Na Nog, Mick Flannery & Paul Brady. Her solo work incorporates traditions of American song, including folk, blues, country, rock and English, Scottish and Irish traditional music. O'Brien is the niece of Brendan Bowyer of The Royal Showband and the great-greatgrandaughter of Albert Bowyer of the Bowyer/Westwood Opera Company of Blackpool, England. She made her first musical recording of a sea shanty at the age of six.



Leonard Cohen heard about Siobhán from a friend of his which prompted him to
send a book to her called 'Dance Me To The End Of Love' with a Henry Matisse painting on each page, as a gesture of encouragement.
