DESCRIPTION:
Recorded april 2015 - hypnoskull.
Video edit and effects at PSIG laboratories, Moscow.

"Benares song" - next to the very famous Alabama song - was written by Elisabeth Hauptmann and Bertolt Brecht, from 'die Dreigroschenoper', 1927, published in Brecht's 'Hauspostille' later that year. Brecht's writings were blacklisted and burned in Germany on the 10th of may 1933 - in the end, burning words, idea's and thoughts, blacklisting them as 'dangerous' and 'against the people', marking them as 'degenerate' art,... makes them live forever.

there is no whisky in this town
there is no bar to sit us down
oh!
where is the telephone?
is here no telephone?
oh, sir, god damn me:
no!

let's go to benares
where the sun is shining
let's go to benares!
johnny, let us go.

there is no money in this land
there is no girl with whom to shake hands
oh!
where is the telephone?
is here no telephone?
oh, sir, god damn me:
no!

let's go to benares
where the sun is shining
let's go to benares!
johnny, let us go.

there is no much fun on this star
there is no door that is ajar
oh!

where is the telephone?
is here no telephone?
oh, sir, god damn me:
no!

worst of all, benares
is said to have perished in an earthquake!
oh! our good benares!
oh, where shall we go!
worst of all, benares
is said to have been punished in an earthquake!
oh! our good benares!
oh! where shall we go!

there is no whisky in this town
there is no bar to sit us down
oh!
where is the telephone?
is here no telephone?
oh, sir, god damn me:
no!
